SSHS Participates in the Inter-High School Band and Inagta Festival Competition
S.S.H.S participated in the
inter-high school band competition and Inagta Festival, battling against the
representatives from the different schools in Siaton for the title, on the
fourth and fifth of December, 2014 at
Siaton Oval.
The parade started at exactly 1:00 o’clock on the bright day of December 4, 2014. School bands from different districts vary in their band uniforms and exhibitions. After the parade, they immediately started the competition at exactly 4:00 o’clock. The place was filled with children, parents and supporters ready to be mesmerized by the participants who gave their best to win. The whole place boomed with cheers when the winners were announced: 1st placer, Sumaliring High School; 2nd placer, Siaton National High School and Siaton Science High School, 3rd placer. Again, SSHS showed up, heads up and smiles on as they danced gracefully for the Inagta Festival Competition. Unfortunately, they may not have been one of the Top 3 however, they were still happy because their dance earned cheers and admiration from the different expectators. “Fighting for top 3 in the Band Competition was already tough; I know that Inagta Festival would be as tough and it seems to me that it turned out ‘tougher’ instead.” a smile plastered on the lips of Ms. Mary Pauline P. Paltinca, SSHS Majorette and Hara sa mga Agta sa SSHS, as she emphasized the word ‘tougher’. “Today may not be ours but we won’t stop here, there will always be next year.” Her last words trailed as the Inagta Festival winners were announced. |
